Recentemente ho scoperto Geavity, un simpatico sito di fotografia che ha le fattezze di un piccolo social network. Dopo una veloce registrazione si può scegliere di condividere la propria attrezzatura (“gear”) con gli altri iscritti, scegliendo ogni singolo pezzo fra migliaia di marche e modelli, dal corpo macchina al treppiede. Come ormai in tutti i social network, anche qui si può “fare amicizia” e iscriversi a gruppi di discussione (che su Geavity si chiamano Club). Ho colto quindi l’occasione per creare il club Fotograffiati anche su questa piattaforma. L’utility che ho apprezzato di più però è la possibilità di creare diversi widget che elencano il proprio gear scelto in precedenza, da utilizzare ad esempio nel profilo di Flickr, o nei blog. Come ulteriori “svaghi” il sito permette di sincronizzare il proprio profilo con quello di Twitter e far sì che un twit venga emesso in automatico quando si modifica il gear personale ed inoltre è disponibile anche l‘applicazione per Facebook che consente di pubblicare un riquadro nel profilo, sempre col proprio gear.

… It would be difficult for everyone explain why we love EVE Online. I could say that it is amazing, never ending, different every day (if you want) and many other thousand wonderful adjective. I could say that and that it is. But for me there is another special thing.

The story started in the early 2009 when my boyfriend told me the first words about this game. Then always more often we spoke about science, universe, real ships and, obviously, Eve. Finally, after summer, I’ve decided to try the game. Addicted.

And here’s the point: I live far away from my boyfriend because I work in another city and I don’t see him so often as I want, so in the late evening we join on voice channel, we take a mission or whatever we wanna do and then we go to play together till sleeping time =) . Funny and simply way to do something even when we can’t see each other and cheaper than a long phone call! =D
